Love & The Mediterranean

Hello and welcome to today's journal entry. Last week I found my old Madrid pocket notebook that I bought in Spain last summer. I've been conflicted on what to use this notebook for. I decided to make my little Madrid notebook into an everyday carry pocket notebook. Now, I'm able to jot down ideas and thoughts and limit my screen time. It's been wonderful! Today I want to share with you all a poem I wrote in my little notebook a few days ago. Let's jump in!

Open Wound: An Old Poem

Today I was cleaning my room, and I found an old journal hidden deep within my bookshelf. I took a look inside and found some old poems! I wanted to share the poem "Open Wound" with you all. It may not be the best, but I think it's important to reflect on our creative journey and see how far we've grown.

This is where I will love you, my dear sandy plains/My empty pot where my new journey lays/ The marking of a beginning in the red sand/I feel my roots reviving in the sand  The canyon greeting me and giving me the sun /Let me feel your warm embrace/Guide my orange flower my little sun/And shower me with your love, oh fiery one
